Astrological Weather Highlights February 2026

February starts off with a bang as we have the first lunation of the month right away on February 1st shining bright the Leo Full Moon at 12°. The Leo full Moon is an interesting one since the Sun who rules Leo is exiled in its opposing sign Aquarius. Aquarius is a cold winter sign ruled by Saturn, so solar qualities don’t always shine the brightest there, not to say there isn’t the potential for the Sun in Aquarius to function phenomenally all depending case by case. This particular Leo Full Moon is opposed a stellium in Aquarius with Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Pluto co present the Sun. The Mars Pluto opposition from the earlier in the week is still active bringing some gnarly volatile and possibly dangerous energy to the lunation. But with Venus co present there is a certain sweetness easing any difficult even terrifying incidents coming up. The Leo Moon itself is all about being seen, giving to others, and loud authentic expressions of the self. There is a tug of war quality between all the Aquarius action and the Leo Full Moon, but I’d still suggest try to be warm and genuinely generous with the individual self to avoid any bouts of poutiness and achieve some equilibrium.

Two days later on February 3rd Uranus goes direct in Taurus at 27°. Uranus in Gemini is much more of the erratic planets pace… but we’ve had some unfinished business to attend to in Taurus… thus retrograded back. After years of Uranus being very uncomfortable in Taurus this is the last go before we enter the long haul of Uranus Gemini. Finish any last effort in making the most of the quirky ingenious of Uranus in the Taurus region of your chart or forever hold your peace.

February 8th Venus in Aquarius is square Uranus newly direct in Taurus still at 27°. What I like here is if you are considering modern rulership there is a mutual reception present meaning they are in each other’s ruling signs bringing extra support in cooperation. I don’t usually work too closely with modern rulership, but it is hard to ignore how similar the energies can be. That being said I do think this could be an extra productive useful square if we utilize the airy unique beauty of Venus in Aquarius with the earthy sensual innovation of Uranus in Taurus.

On February 13th Saturn reenters Aries for the final time this transit. We already had a taste of Saturn in Aries last year but now it's for the long haul. This shift moves from a fluid mutable water version of Saturn in Pisces to directed cardinal fire version of the Saturn archetype in Aries. Saturn is said to be in its fall in Aries so we can expect Saturn to not show up how we might otherwise expect, have greater challenges to channel Saturn’s essence efficiently, or have to work harder to reap Saturn’s rewards. The latter is key here in that Saturn is a gift giver if we put in the work, show up, adhere to limits, and are patient. Aries is all about go and at times Saturn is all about “no”. This is where the difficulties arise. We may have an abundance of exuberant energy when it comes to the Saturnine though we must heed caution to not get ahead of ourselves. Aries is Mars ruled, that said there will be limits and lessons around the masculine(gender & energy), assertion, drive, aggression, fighting, war, etc. I would also suggest that even if it would be wise to heed extra caution throughout this transit it is also a great time to start something new because we probably have the discipline and focus to do what it takes to get it off the ground and the disciplined wear with all to see it through to completion.

The second lunation of the month happens February 17th with a partial Solar Eclipse on the Aquarius New Moon at 28°. This is the beginning of the Aquarian Eclipse cycle that will continue as the nodes slide into Aquarius/Leo this Summer then continue to move through these over the next couple of years. There are new beginning in the works surrounding collective cohesion, intellectual breakthroughs, fresh concepts, and unique individual identity. What makes this particular Solar Eclipse dynamic is the square coming through from Uranus in Taurus. It could be extra jarring for Taurus who already isn’t the happiest camper with out-of-nowhere Uranus in its sign, then add a square New Moon Eclipse from Aquarius the sign many associate with Uranus, and we could be seeing some major upsets. This could be the straw that broke the camel's back or the innovation that makes the most of Uranus’ time in Taurus before moving into Gemini.

I do find it auspicious that on the same day we have an exalted Venus in Pisces on the North Node of the Moon. There is a cup runneth over energy present with Venus in Pisces flowing in abundance. An Exalted Venus in Pisces is abundant in all things Venusian; this is likely to show up in lovely ways but don't get lost in the goodies.

Towards the end of the February we have the most important transit of month and maybe even the entire year occur. We have had Neptune and Saturn dancing around each for quite some time, but now we will be experiencing their exact conjunct that will bring significant ramifications. February 19th, the day before the exact conjunction the Moon will go over the two planets already about conjunct. This makes a triple conjunction adding some lunar influence as well as reflecting and shedding some light on the combo coming through. Though heavily foreshadowed the exact conjunction happens February 20th when Saturn and Neptune aligning at 0° degrees 45 arc minutes of Aries. This massive conjunction is even more prominent when we consider they line up at the critical 0° degree which is the beginning of the “natural” zodiac. What this means is this area of the zodiac is an inception point, after swimming through the waters of Pisces that in many ways acts as a culminating section of the story of the entire zodiacal wheel before it once we get to Aries there is a kind of birthing moment, a sprout bursting out of the seed to reach for the sun through the inherent will to exist and survive. The potency and opportunity here is great in addition to possible difficulties showing up. As we have already established earlier in this forecast Saturn in Aries can deal with more than its fair share of obstacle and lessons since Saturn is in its fall here. With Neptune in the mix clarity is probably lacking, circumstances likely deceiving, maybe with a lack of boundaries or boundaries not being respected. The flip side if we were to add some positives would be the compassion available at this time, boundaries melted for the better, making imagination into reality, or the discipline to see efforts through to completion.

From there two days later is one of my favorite days of the month on February 22. This day features exalted Venus in Pisces trine exalted Jupiter retrograde Cancer in addition to Mars in Aquarius sextile Chiron in Aries. Venus Pisces trine Jupiter Cancer happens at 15°. In both qualified as exalted they are traditionally thought to be “dignified” translating in modern times to showing up how might expect these archetypes to be expressed and excelling in such matters with ease. Also in the traditional school of thought they gave these planets the titles of the “lesser” and “greater” benefics so we would assume they show up and act in a positive manner. I would suggest looking at them in such black and white manner can be deceiving as the easiness and what we think of as “good” might not ultimately be as great as one anticipates. The icing on the cake here is that they are in trine aspect which is traditionally designated to be the nature of Jupiter. Again be advised on the ease of flow might seem spectacular while possibly being lazy and taken for granted.

All cynicalness aside this is likely about as lovely as it gets in ways with Venus in Pisces probably being the softest version of Venus being very fluid and lush and Jupiter in Cancer is ultra-abundant and sincerely nurturing. The feeling here is blessed and splendid. I personally am very hopeful for Mars in Aquarius sextile Chiron Aries especially with the exact Saturn Neptune square only two days prior and very much still intact. This sextile aligns at 23°. Since Mars is the ruling planet of Aries and Chiron is copresent in the mix of the Saturn/Neptune action I really see this as adding a ton of context and extra support to whatever is coming through. Mars in Aquarius pushes for freedom and liberation whether collective or in unique individuation and Chiron in Aries has been doing the work of acknowledging the wounded masculine towards healing the damaged drive and assertion. Blending this combo there can be pushes for developing a new version of baseline masculinity in the future while acknowledging the devastation done by as well as being executed on the receiving of the yang that must be seen, revalued, and healed for equitable progress.

The final aspect I would like to note for February is Fallen Mercury in Pisces retrograde conjunct exalted Venus in Pisces at 22° on . Mercury is known to be fallen traditionally in Pisces indicating there could be difficulties surrounding mercurial things, or they might take more effort than usual to fulfill. This style of Mercury can be amazing for writing music, poetry, mediation practices, tapping into different levels of consciousness, channeling energy, or feeling the muse. Adding an exalted Venus makes the possible positive manifestations of this that much more wonderful. Do watch out for possibly being too open, overly compassionate, seeing things through rose colored glasses, or missing details that result in pain.
