Astrological Weather Highlights March 2026
The months are just flying by as we proceed through 2026 in March. So far, the celestial alignments of the year have been dynamic and action packed. So without further a due let’s jump right into some of the Astrological highlights of March 2026!

We start off the month with the Virgo Total Lunar Eclipse right away on March 3rd. On account of the nodes of the Moon being at 8° and the lunation occurring at 13° makes this considered “Total” when observing how close the Sun and Moon line up in relation to the Ecliptic. The defining characteristic of this souped-up Full Moon is it is ruled by a fallen Mercury retrograde in Pisces at 20°. Mercury is a little far away to be considered conjunct the Sun in Pisces and opposite the Moon in Virgo depending on the orb of influence ones uses but nonetheless what Mercury is doing here is critical. Reevaluations abound when we think about and process the Virgo South Node themes through what has been coming up this eclipse cycle. Things are probably not the clearest now and we’re likely feeling a hell of a lot around what’s being illuminated. Being overly critical especially when the present perspective is so murky isn’t going to help anyone. At the same time, it is important now to not let got completely of discernment as it might prove to be essential at this time. An additional defining characteristic we should make sure to include is Pisces traditional ruler Jupiter is retrograde but exalted at 15° Cancer. This is close enough to be considered in a tighter orb of influence than Mercury. Yes, Jupiter is retrograde but being exalted and making a trine over to the Sun suggests there’s some positive flow and support coming through. A Lunar Eclipse is essential like a super Full Moon so expect full visibility, culminations, and endings around the Virgo house area of your life. On a final note, this can be especially potent for all the mutable signs including, Pisces, Gemini, Sagittarius, as well as Virgo.

There are several days of aspects I want to note starting on March 6th with Venus entering its exile of Aries and immediately beginning to conjunct Neptune at 1° and Saturn at 2°. A planet in exile is as far away as it can be from its home sign making it likely under resourced, at the whim of outside influences, and having to navigate territory that is in ways opposite of its default habitat. So Venus far away from home in a Mars ruled sign shows up in ways that are not the stereotypes we'd expect of Venus while figuring out the lay of the land for results that fit this version of Venusian desires. Now when we add the exact conjunctions to Neptune then Saturn in the coming days this time can be riddled with nebulousness and placed restrictions. Venus in Aries wants to go for what it wants being unapologetic in showing up in ways that aren’t usually viewed as feminine. There can be many question marks and misunderstanding around this during the presence of Neptune as well as lots of limitations, lessons, and maturing with Saturn here too.
March 7th Mercury retrograde in Pisces makes its inferior conjunction to the Sun at 16° creating the second Cazimi in the series of three that occur each Mercury retrograde. Mercury being not only fallen but also retrograde isn’t the most concise and articulate at the moment. Being Cazimi the Sun should be like a beacon of light shining through the dense fog. You might not know the exact way and order of operation to find the required answers though there’s sense of a direction to follow even if it’s more felt than clearly seen. The same day exiled Venus Aries conjuncts Neptune at 1°. There may be confusion in the assertion of such desires or the tendency to be brash possibly to the point of being considered obnoxious. We might find what’s driving us forward is in all actuality a mirage or the ideals of getting what you want is more unfulfilling than satiating. Some positive expressions could be great sympathetic understanding for confusion surrounding masculine energy assertion or feminine energy that has been destructive by masquerading as masculine having some awakening around showing up in a driven nurturing sense.
The next day on March 8th exiled Venus Aries makes the exact conjunction to Saturn also said to be fallen in Aries. Set aside the presence of Neptune, these two planets conjunct in a sign that both are not seen as having traditional dignity can be tough, especially the dichotomy present between Venus and Saturn. There are limits on love or feeling embraced, accepted, and/or valued. There could be some rejection of usual tendencies of feminine energy instead showing up as more fiery and feisty. We might get a big fat no when pursuing our hearts content. A positive version could be the maturing crystallization of what we have our eyes set on or perhaps coming to terms about the disciplined limitation of social cohesion versus individual growth. Add Neptune and all of the above could become a lot more fuzzy… maybe in a good way of empathy and compassion that dissolves boundaries, or maybe in difficult ways like resulting depression or substance abuse, not having a clear picture of what’s actually going on, and not knowing how to take no for an answer.
Something that makes me hopeful for March 8th is we have a Grand Water Trine coming through consisting of Mercury retrograde Pisces, Jupiter retrograde Cancer, and the Moon moving through Scorpio all happening at 15°. Mercury and Jupiter might be retrograde but there is a flow coming through bringing an ease and understanding to both planets present plights. Bet on what is happening now because once these planets go direct they will leverage the assets gained currently. The Moon coming through in Scorpio may be brief but it makes clear this moment is adding collaborative cooperation to a watery chain of events. I will be utilizing the energy this day towards the greater picture.

March 10th Jupiter Cancer stations direct at 15°. Since November Jupiter has been retrograde signaling reversals, revisions, renavigations, amongst other Jupiterian redo’s. Jupiter is exalted in Cancer meaning its presence is elevated with beneficial outcomes more easily obtained in addition to being the quintessential jovial star’s blessings even in greater quantities. The retrograde put a plug in the spigot of these blessed expansions in the meantime halted or having had some turnaround of some kind. Now with the station direct the flow is beginning to be replenished and things are feeling like they are back on track. Let the luck and abundance flow!! Cancer being the ruling sign of the Moon the area’s most likely positively influenced will be family, places of shelter, one’s homeland, safety, security, boundaries, nurturing, mothering, care taking, being taken care of, cycles of the mind, changing feelings, bodily fluids, and the body in general. I would also advise for Cancer Sun, Moon, or Risings to watch out for possibly putting on more literal weight if that is not an outcome you are wanting as Jupiter expands so the individual can swell up.

Skipping ahead a week on March 18th we got a Pisces New Moon at 28°. This is the final of almost half a year’s worth of unusually lined up consecutive New Moons occurring at 28° we’ve been experiencing since October. If you haven’t yet, I would suggest checking if you have anything lined up around 28° in your natal chart for context on how has this likely been coming through. This Pisces New Moon is brought to us by Jupiter now direct in Cancer at but still at 15° where it went direct. Having the ruling planet here where it stationed not yet picking up speed there is a slowness and feeling we have to make it past the old territory before really starting anew. What I do like about this is there is mutual reception coming through from the Moon in Pisces and Jupiter in Cancer where it is exalted letting us know they have each other's backs and are operating with a sense of togetherness on the same page. Another thing to consider here as a positive contributor is the New Moon is a sextile Uranus Taurus at 28°. This lunation will likely be a beneficial influence on what occurs the remainder of Unranus’ time in Taurus. What I don’t like so much is the Pisces New Moon’s ruling planet Jupiter in Cancer is square to exiled Venus in Aries at 15°. The assertion of one’s desires, looking out for the individual, or aggressive expressions of the feminine could clash with a great need for a sense of safety around home and family or being abundantly cared for or offering that same overflowing nurturing to others.

To wrap up the month after the Sun enters its exaltation in Aries on March 20th it comes in to make the same conjunctions to Neptune and Saturn. On March 21st there is bright light burning some clarity in to the uncertainty of Neptune still barely getting going in Aries at 1°. Another way this could come through would be the compassion and melting of boundaries beginning to happen in Aries is emblazoned and seems to be glorified golden when the Sun’s shine is aligned with Neptune. The next day on March 22nd the exalted Sun conjuncts fallen Saturn in Aries now at 4°. This is interesting because it is as if the two planets dignity in the sign of the ram level each other’s dispositions out. The Sun is exalted and traditionally thought to be extra embolden in Aries since this is the beginning of spring with the Sun’s light lengthening in hours and heat post equinox. This compared to Saturn which the farthest out and furthest away from the Sun of the traditional seven planetary bodies astrologically observed. Acknowledging this Saturn is cold and in many ways the antithesis of the Sun, because of this traditionally the inverse is true of Saturn being exalted in Libra and the Sun being fallen in Libra with the Sun diminishing in light hours and warmth in the Northern Hemisphere post autumn equinox. Blending the Sun and Saturn here can put the brakes on and really damper the Aries Suns instinct to shine as an individual burning at full speed ahead. A positive expression is the discipline, structure, and ware withal to make the Aries Sun fruitful adding some longevity and maturation. With Neptune being so close there might be a making amends through empathy keeping the Aries energy contained yet useful. The flip side would be a lack of awareness making one oblivious to boundaries and the work it takes to actual make situations productive in the long haul.
