Astrological Weather Highlights April 2026
April is a top contender for the most ramped up month of celestial activity in 2026 though what comes through this Summer will probably take the cake! Not to discount this month ahead because it is phenomenal on many levels. There is a pile up of many many planets in Aries, that in itself, is ultra rare and remarkable. Another huge one is Uranus into Gemini where it remains for the entirety of its upcoming transit making some of the heaviest duty of aspects. Considering that along with much more… let’s dive in!

Right away on April 1st (April Fool’s Day ;p) we get the Libra Full Moon at 12° degrees. Our social constructs and relational dynamic are likely highlighted now and how that's contrasting a lot of self-interested, self “centered” energy abounding. The Moon may be in the “others” minded sign of Libra, but the Sun is in its place of exalted in Aries; and even though not conjunct by degree we also have Neptune, Saturn and Chiron all copresent the Sun making singular individual focus plentiful. The sticking point on this Full Moon is it is square Jupiter in Cancer at 15°. Tensions between the feelings of “we” and being absorbed in “me” are exacerbated by the necessity of feeling safe and secure while maintain the perspective of giving and receiving abundantly. Such an arrangement brings about some awkward predicaments. How can we honor “we” in a giving manner while still focusing on “me” in a way that allows the security of meeting our own needs? I like how a couple days later on April 3rd Mercury in Pisces comes through to trine Jupiter in Cancer letting us know there is probably some empathetic conversations towards collaborating to make things feel cared for honoring security allowing for greater abundance.

Now I’d like to skip ahead to mid-month when we have the peak largest concentrated amount of planets in Aries making an extraordinary stellium of proportions not often encountered. On April 9th we had Mars ingress Aries and on April 14th Mercury entered Aries, then the following day on April 15th the Moon enters Aries and we officially have 7 planets in the sign of the Ram. The line up included the Moon, Mercury, Neptune, Mars, Saturn, the Sun, and Chiron; this is phenomenally rare with this many planets simultaneously in the same sign happening next to never. Something else worth noting is the planets at the beginning of the sign are sextile over to Pluto in Aquarius letting us know they are connecting working together to the greater Aquarian transformation coming through. Overall there is so much firepower and Aries energy going on it should be relatively obvious this is the flavor of the month. Aggressive assertion can be on full blast, presentations being brash and abrasive, and competition is a must with a great possibility of even more warring execution at this time. The consensus is to be action oriented and just going for it then consider the ramifications later with many new things being initiated now. Mars who rules Aries is at home showing in itself that the martial expression will be ramped up. In addition Aries’ exaltation ruler the Sun is there as telling us that individual expression and focus on self is important and evident. More on this in the next section as I cover the Aries New Moon.

Early in the morning on April 17th we have the New Moon in Aries occurring at 27°. Something I like the most about this lunation is it’s essentially conjunct Chiron in Aries at 26°. This indicates our wounded self in context of the martial, masculine, assertion, aggressive is experiencing a sort of rebirth and dawning of a new day. This doesn’t affect exclusively the male gender but more so where masculine yang energy is present. Even if we can’t quite heal this wounding in ourselves, we have the opportunity and ability to heal this in others much like the wounded centaur Chiron is named after. Again a huge part of what coming through now is the Aries party stellium of seven planets in Aries and definitely will robustly color this New Moon. The Aries New Moon in general is probably my favorite New Moon as the potential energy is mirrored in the initiating Ram force to push and start something in unison with the New Moon phase energy being all about setting sail on a new voyage so to speak. The Aries New Moon is a usually a phenomenal time to begin something new... then add all these planets copresent in Aries fueling the fire we have the power of an engulfed inferno as we launch.

On then heels of the New Moon in the midst of there still being six planets all in Aries we then have a triple conjunction of Mercury, Mars, and Saturn in Aries on April 20th. We have already had a sort of blending of all the planetary archetypes present in Aries currently... but when these three make an exact conjunction at 8° it increases the focus on these planets by making the blending of these archetypes more prominent. Communication is instantaneous, blunt, and possible obnoxious coming off as rude. Thought processes ignite like a spark lighting a tinderbox. By these occurring restrictions are placed possibly delays occur. We may be put in a time out to reflect on being overtly trigger happy. Structures could be broken that were designed to make us go through the steps essential for taking the time to ensuring all “i’s” are dotted and “t’s” crossed.

The last things I would like to note start on April 23rd when we have Venus at home in Taurus conjunct Uranus at the anaretic last degree of the sign before ingressing into Gemini two days later on April 25th. It is as if when Venus conjuncts Uranus here it is a finalizing of Uranus’ time in Taurus making sure whatever has been revolutionized is solidified and full acknowledged allowing to be entirely embodied. Having the final aspect occurring in combination with the signs ruler is very prominent not to mention ties it in a bow and putting an exclamation point at the end of it. Having it happen at the anaretic last degree verifies the culminating nature as a crescendoing peak to the Uranian Taurus experience with intense potency in the accumulation of all the of energy expressed previously.
Love, beauty, softness, cleanliness, money, values, relationships, friendships, femininity, and women in general get one last electrifying shock that can cause out of nowhere changes innovating towards a more realized future. There is also the possibility of weird, eccentric, and eclectic strangeness stirring in these areas of life creating very left field bizarre events shaking the foundation of these archetypal characteristics to the core causing them to never be the same afterwords. Uranus leaving Taurus waves goodbye to the grounded earthy stable Venusian sign and is ready to embrace with open arms spending its next cycle in the mercurial sign of the Twins. Uranus in Taurus has tended to be a hard experience as the Uranus archetype is essentially the antithesis of the Taurian MO that wants comfort, predictability, reliable results, not having to change anything that isn’t needed. The erratic air sign Gemini is much more on the same wavelength as Uranus.

On April 25th Uranus enters the sign of Gemini for the long haul. This double bodied mutable air sign is much more Uranus’ cup of tea. In so many ways these two expressions go hand and hand resonating well together. Gemini is quick, witty, cunning, chatty, flexible, feisty, flighty, cerebral, tricky, lighthearted, inquisitive, varying in multitudes. Uranus is ingenious, rebellious, odd, inventive, innovative, ideal, sporadic, sudden, instantaneous, revolutionary, with a focus on the greater collective good and concepts towards a better humanity. Both can have an interest in technology and pushing it to the next level. We can expect such tools and spaces to become more connected being upgraded by breakthroughs making things forever changed. When looking back in hindsight it will appear that we have been living in the stone age of tech. We can expect things to speed up a lot as if things could go any more quickly, which in my mind I think a byproduct will be- we will be forced to or begin to greatly advocate slowing down and taking our time in this life. I also can see the ways we relate socially being completely renovated and reestablished as social unrest and interpersonal dynamics suffer greatly bringing a change in how we relate and connect not only out of necessity but in conceptually changing the intellectual human experience effecting the very fabric infrastructure of humanity. Of course the elephant in the room on everyone’s mind for technology being Ai will be huge during this transit. I’m relatively certain by the end of Uranus’ time in Gemini it will end up being completely different from what we originally thought.
