Astrological Weather September Eclipse Season 2025

Another late write-up on my end this month… my sincerest apologies. Have some shifts coming through in my life and wanted to make sure to give this month a little more thorough of an analysis as it deserves leading up to, between, and wrapping up the Eclipses. I could have dug into it more, but this will suffice while cutting some of the fat. Enjoy!

Welcome to the September Eclipse season of 2025! The Full Moon Total Solar Eclipse in Pisces and the New Moon Partial Lunar Eclipse in Virgo will be the main topics covered this month, but it is a must we go over a crescendoing trail of celestial happenings leading to the main lunation events then resulting in a dissipation brought to us by a Plutonic exclamation point as the month winds down.

The first aspect of September that in a sense seems to set the stage for the month and eclipse season is Saturn slipping back into Pisces the sign of the Fish on September 1st. Saturn will continue to retrograde in Pisces over the next couple of months and will remain there through the end of the year before moving into Aries for the long haul. Any unfinished integration left from Saturn's time wading through the watery realms of such a vast sign are up for redemption. The final go of this transit is a great opportunity to harness the waters potential lessons and eternal wisdom like a cup drawing from the oceanic well of spirit for soul hydration.

The next day on September 2nd Mercury enters its home sign and exaltation of Virgo. Mercury is said to be extra strong here but to me this appears to be a fantastic example of how too much of a good thing isn't always a good thing. Yes, the focus and precision associated with this placement are unmatched, but if not channeled in an embodied manner with a lack of perspective, it can be more of a challenge than an asset. Perfectionism and overly critical—not so good; discerning and refining with the purpose of helping—a healthier better version; the realization of inner light concentrated to craft an essential expression as an offering to all under the Sun—this is the highest version from my observations and experience so far.

Then September 3rd, Mercury squares Uranus in Gemini right off the bat at 1°. A ramped-up Mercury vibing at hyper frequency is squaring off to an extra erratic and ingenious Uranus. Gemini is Mercury's other home sign being readily outwardly expressed in a more yang fashion, and Uranus's characteristics are right up Gemini's alley working extremely well together. With this square there are very high chances of brain fry burnout with distractions abound. Squares no matter how difficult they seem, innately hold the greatest ability to build when directed with purpose. Give it some practical attention and be amazed by the inventive wonders that could come through while processing this aspect. Honorable mention: Neptune Rx Aries sextile Pluto Rx Aquarius creating a yod with exalted Mercury in Virgo as the focal point. This illustrates much further how important it is to slow down and draw inward thoroughly for achieving best result towards the greater outer planet story.

The first Eclipse this season is the Pisces Total Lunar Eclipse on September 7th at 15°. It will be considered a "Total" Lunar Eclipse on account of its proximity to the Nodes of the Moon at 18° currently, translating physically to where the Full Moon will line up on the ecliptic plane (the apparent path of the Sun). Such an occurrence will be reflected in our individual lives and collective experience as the next unraveling of the nodal plotline story about halfway through the Virgo/Pisces axis before moving into Leo/Aquarius. When the nodes move through each pair of sister signs it signals a sea change in those areas of our lives indicated by what houses are being traversed. We can expect a turning of the page and the beginning of a new chapter in all things Virgo/Pisces throughout the time the nodes are here.

First thing to acknowledge is the mutual reception between the Moon in Pisces and an exalted Jupiter in Cancer. This is extremely supportive, and even more so since Jupiter is close enough to be considered trine the Moon in Pisces and sextile the Sun in Virgo.

Next let's make sure to consider Mercury is at home and exalted in Virgo as well as Saturn being retrograde in Pisces. Saturn Rx is relatively far away only being copresent that day, but since the Moon moves so fast will conjoin the lord of time moving backwards the following day. Mercury on the other hand is approaching the Sun starting to become more and more combust going towards a cazimi conjunction several days away. This all makes it so there are tests/lessons and boundaries/limits lurking in the waters as well as an earthy elevated brain fry that eventually distorts into a piercing laser beam of clarity in the coming days.

On a final note the Moon in Pisces, Jupiter in Cancer, and Lilith in Scorpio are activating a Grand Water Trine of tidal proportions as the Moon goes over the North Node a few hours later that day. There is so much immense harmonizing energy here; the effects are subtle yet gigantically oceanic.

The last last thing I will say here is lunar eclipses are all culminating points in reflections of the past actions that will fully display the accumulated results to eclipse releasing all that is ready to fall away. At the most basic level, they are like a Full Moon on steroids. Great karmic reckonings are integral in the larger scheme of things that require even greater times of letting go. See the houses they are affecting and add in the aspects mentioned above for context of how they could show up for you personally.

September 12th has some very interesting dynamics that will all in all be awesome. In the early morning the Virgo Sun sextiles exalted Jupiter in Cancer at 19°. This builds off the influence of the sextile that we underwent during the lunar eclipse. A few hours previous an exalted Moon in Taurus ruling over Cancer Jupiter aspected both at 19° really setting this transit up wonderfully. At the time of the Sun Jupiter sextile the exalted ruler of Virgo, Mercury is on the South Node impacting the nodal trajectory and influencing the aspect not too far away from sextiling Jupiter itself and applying to Cazimi the Sun.

Mid-afternoon on September 12th, Mercury Virgo sextiles Jupiter Cancer still at 19° doubling up the exalted sextile goodness. The two exalted planets sextile each other is fantastic but by this time the Moon is going over Uranus in Gemini, letting us know there is probably something random coming up, for better or for worse. Gemini is also ruled by Mercury, giving hope that the positivity of the exalted sextile inclines sudden occurrences for the better. The next day on September 13th, Mercury is Cazimi the Sun at 20° Virgo. Not only exalted in the sign of the Maiden, Mercury is now emblazoned on full blast riding in the Chariot of the Sun. Communication is flowing, writing is stunning, sales are skyrocketing, jokes are hysterical, with all the puzzle pieces falling into place effortlessly without a riddled scratch of the head.

Starting September 14th then continuing till September 17th Venus in Leo is sextile Mars in Libra from 24° through 26°. This brings about proactive cooperation from the Venusian in fixed fire Leo with the Martial in cardinal air Libra. Such helps quite a bit when considering Venus is ruling over the exiled Mars. The main nuance to clarify here though is the Yod aka "finger of God," gesturing in the direction of Saturn Rx in Pisces at the same time Mercury in Virgo is moving through at 28°. This seems to preface the upcoming Solar Eclipse that will also oppose Saturn Rx Pisces. The Yod is like… here…. look here….. this is the focal point being the source of contention or possibly the missing link! The plot thickens with Mercury moving into Libra on September 18th immediately opposing Neptune retrograde in Aries at 0°. This discombobulated battle between a "we" state of mind for the sake of diplomacy versus the "me" first vision rooted in self-direction is mirrored following the Solar Eclipse in a few days.

Now we come to the Virgo New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse at the anaretic 29° on September 21st. It is considered "partial" because of being so many degrees away from the South Node, so the Sun is only partially eclipsed by the Moon. Even though it is only "partial" it can still be considered a New Moon on steriods but probably to a lesser extent than the Lunar Eclipse we just had. This is the pinnacle of Saturn retrograde in Pisces being the flavor of the month though, as it is almost exactly opposite the Virgo Solar Eclipse. That could perhaps actually make it heavier duty, tipping the scales in its direction for the overall effect on how the Eclipse storyline continues to unfold. There is an added push pull tension of the Pisces Saturnine maturation process opposing the rebirth process beginning to crown in Virgo.

With the Virgo Solar Eclipse occurring at the anarectic last degree of the sign of the Maiden, this adds to the heightened influence on the current eclipse cycle, plus it falls right before the Autumn Equinox the following day. What makes this so interesting is only a few hours after the Moon goes over the Sun it enters Libra right away opposing Neptune retrograde Aries, foreshadowing the Sun's transition of embarking on the darkening of the light hour balance in the Northern Hemisphere and making the same alignment. What really makes this further paramount in the greater scheme of things is these oppositions combine with Uranus Rx Gemini and Pluto Rx Aquarius to form a Kite meaning we have Grand Air Trine action activated with the release focal point being Neptune Rx. Definitely all of this is working together as the next layer of inputs in the outer planet saga that is still very much in its infantile stages. There is A LOT A LOT of mojo going on here these couple of days.

Final mention of the month is the Moon conjunct Mars at home in Scorpio squaring Pluto retrograde in Aquarius. Many “Modern” Astrologers would say Pluto is the co-ruler of Scorpio which would make this extra deep and drudging of the Plutonic underbelly… either way it is none the less extremely potent… "intense" doesn't even scratch the surface of how this could play out depending on context. More things to consider here are that squares are the nature of Mars and Pluto is thought to be the higher octave of Mars by some. Again, with these rationales it's plain to see just how penetrating and volatile it all could turn out. The plot thickens if we look at Uranus Rx Gemini sextile Neptune Rx Aries to form a Yod, emphasizing the Moon conjunct Mars as the focal point.
